Who Are You?
The universal answer is NONE of these things after you change the SOURCE providing the definition of Who You Are. And I'll let you in on a secret, it's not men and women. It's not even YOU!
God is responsible for defining Who You Are.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2)
A Point To Consider
We're having an ongoing conversation about RELATIONSHIP -- a Quality Exchange. So often, the attributes listed on the above mask are byproducts of being in the wrong relationships.
To end your exposure to these crushing attributes, to these improper relationships, something prerequisite to rewarding relationships must be established.
That thing is MISSION. Adam had it before God delivered Eve and Eve had to have it before becoming a complement to Adam.
Mission is a specific task with which a person or a group is charged. To complete the mission requires the wisdom of God, personal expertise and alignment of difference -- that is, the people given the mission.
Remove one of these elements (wisdom, expertise or alignment) and the mission will likely fail. Align with and skillfully learn to use them and you can transform the crushing attributes (associated with the mask) into:
- Excitement
- Satisfaction
- Creativity
- Authenticity
- Excellence
- Trust
- Compassion
- Tenacity
- Delight
- Appreciation
- Harmony
- Confidence
- Flexibility
- Resourcefulness
- Encouragement
Two-thirds of this equation involves You:
- Knowing Your Personal Expertise (and refining it to keep it relevant)
- Aligning Your Personal Expertise (to complement rather than compete with or condemn others)
Your Assignment During the Next 7 Days
- Know Your Personal Expertise and where you can effectively apply it.
- Make a list of 5 problems that you really, really, really, really (4 REALLYs) enjoy solving.
Problem 1: What You Really WISH For
A problem you continuously THINK ABOUT solving.
Problem 2: What You Really DESIRE
A problem you continuously SEEK WISDOM about.
Problem 3: What You Really INTEND
A problem you continuously MOVE TOWARDS solving by investing your resource.
Problem 4: What You Really Are PASSIONATE About
A problem you continuously GIVE YOUR HEART, LOVE and SKILL to eradicating.
Problem 5: Where You Really Really Really Really Want To Make A Difference
An all-encompassing problem that represents what you wish for, desire, intend and give heart, love and skill to.
Your assignment may require you to ponder, meditate and most certainly discriminate.
You cannot and should not give yourself to everything and everyone. God created you to solve a particular problem, for a particular group of people. When you're clear about this mission from God, the people you need to attract and those you need to leave, will become clear.
Take off the mask.
Make the list.
Get on Mission.
