7 Types of Digital Downloads and Products Most Likely To Sell
(and How To Create Them)
Rather than give you a laundry list of product types (because there are definitely more than 7 options), I want you to focus on the purpose for creating digital downloads.
- To solve a specific problem.
- To help your ideal prospect or client develop the right skills and know-how.
- To build confidence in your system and their ability to use it effectively.
- To give them control through a sense of power and accomplishment.
- To transfer responsibility... intelligently, rewardingly and permanently.
Let's dive in to that last statement.
Transfer Responsibility Intelligently
In the Netflix series Money Heist, Alvaro Morte plays the role of The Professor.
His character is responsible for masterminding the heist and thinking through all the details of what might happen.
For five months, he meticulously trains his team to prepare them for carrying out the elaborate plan.
You are The Professor in your business.
Your ideal prospects and clients are members of the team who will carryout the plan that makes your products work and your business succeed.
You will need to be meticulous about many things and flexible with others.
The intelligence that goes into each product, as well as the processes which deliver them, becomes a part of your brand (in the mind of your clients).
Everything that works well (in your business) will happen because of your intelligence, intention and outstanding ability as an instructor.
Transfer Responsibility Rewardingly
Your solution can't just work, it also has to be so enjoyable to use, that your ideal prospects and clients (make it essential to their success) and begin to discover other ways to use it.
You'll want to stay in regular contact so that you can capture these "other ways to use" and incorporate into your website copy, training and discussions.
Transfer Responsibility Permanently
This is important.
If you've been following along (with each lesson), I shared Brad Sugars' definition of a business.
A business is a commercial, profitable enterprise, that works with you.
Your business must work without you if you desire a full life and control over how you experience life.
Every aspect of what you do and how you do it, is to be captured as a documented, fully-functional process (that the average employee can execute and know beforehand that it works).
Any task that requires you (personally) is a potential hindrance to your personal freedom and life enjoyment.
This does not mean that you can't work in your business.
Instead, it means that you don't have to (and i you do, there is a procedure you can follow to deliver consistently, excellent results to your ideal prospects and clients).
The Responsibility Transfer Process
Here's how I teach so that lessons and confidence stick with you:
Stage 1: I do it and you watch.
Stage 2: We do it together.
Stage 3: You do it and I watch.
Stage 4: You do it without me (and we find find that next problem that we want to tackle together).
You can adapt this method of instruction and incorporate it into your product design.
I'll show you how as we move along this entrepreneurial journey.
